§170.315(b)(10) |
Introduction
This document contains the necessary information regarding the Health IT Module that can perform an Electronic Health Information (EHI) export (in a computable format) for a single patient at any time the user chooses without the involvement of developer or specialized personnel. This module also has an option to export all electronic health information for the patient population that may require support from the health IT developer. The intended purpose satisfies the requirements of 170.315(b)(10).
Security and Authentication
The users must have access / ability to perform the export task, otherwise the system administrator(s) can run the EHI export functionality for them.
How to export Data from ehrThomas
- Login into ehrThomas with full rights or as system administrator

Navigate to reports modules, and click Electronic Health Information (Export).

To export a specific patient information from the ehrThomas, you need to select Single Patient from the Export Type dropdown selection with an option to search the patient by Last Name or Account Number (in cases where multiple matches are found, select the desired patient from the list) and click the Export button

To export all patient information from the ehrThomas, you need to select All Patients (Entire Database) from the Export Type dropdown selection and click the Export button
